About my research

My research investigates how mega-infrastructure projects and investments in the built environment transform places, socionatures and livelihoods, and in so doing, extend and amplify environmental, social, and spatial injustice. Empirically, I focus on the responses of communities impacted by mega-infrastructure development, with an emphasis on social struggles and transitions to social-environmental sustainability and justice. In the last 10 years, this has involved comparative, participatory action research across the Global South and North. This effort has been supported by several research grants and fellowships, in the majority of which I have been the Principal Investigator, and has expanded my academic network across the world.
